The specific goals were: to approach the archives theorics foundations and the public policies for municipal archives as memory rights and information access, identify the archival documental heritage and the entities archival documental custodians in the city and elaborate a diagnostic about de archival documental heritage in Angra dos Reis. Presents the archivals in the context of public policies of culture in Brazil. Discuss the municipal archives considering the theorical field about memory and records data. Presents the origins, concepts and attribuits by the archives and define the strategic role of city public archival. Review the documental patrimony concept inspired on archives concepts to mark the documental archival heritage. Treats about what institutions with archival holdings are available to the public in the city. Demonstrate the relevance of the archival identification and description processes with the goal to strengthen the National Archival System (SINAR). Studies the pattern of description for the entities documental custodians applied by the Guia do Patrimônio Documental do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, produced and publicided by Arquivo do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (APERJ), in 1997. Exposes the internacional norm ISDIAH to define a reserch instrument to identify the municipal archival patrimony to apply on municipal institutions with archival holdings. Presents a brief historical about the Angra dos Reis city, based on his local historiografy. As a result, presents the entities identified by the Guia do APERJ and, based on ISDIAH, updated and insert news institutions with historic archives. The objective is to demonstrate that the collaborative environment of the Web Network of Museums of the State of Rio de Janeiro can stimulate the offer of integrated information services with the other cultural institutions through the digital curation of this material, encouraging the sharing and reuse of these cultural digital collections. The methodology of this research is developed in three stages: literature review, identification of ongoing experiments in digital curation and reuse of digital objects and oral interviews. It was possible to confirm the digital curatorship as a resource for the control and maintenance of the technical treatment of cultural digital objects, reusing them for the expansion of knowledge and dissemination of information and at the end, some of the new services that could be offered by the Web Network of Museums. It is understood preservation as a global action, the work explores the key role of collection’s management and all the procedures that involve it. The Superintendency of Museums (SMU) of the Secretary of State for Culture of Rio de Janeiro (SEC / RJ) will be presented, and the Ingá’s Museum, a museum unit used as a basis for the observation of collection’s management. The Laboratory of Conservation (LACON) and the Web of Museums of Rio de Janeiro will be presented and analyzed, as well as the museum unit, using the Museum Management System (SISGAM) of the Superintendency of Museums (SMU) as a tool for collection’s management. The museum's collection management procedures will be observed from the minimum standards stipulated by the SPECTRUM Museum Collection Management Standard, an internationally standardized British model. For the accomplishment of the work, a review of the literature on the themes of museological management, collection management and museological documentation was reviwed. The analysis done on the literary collection tried to show that the treatment of artistic objects should take into account the hybrid reality of the department. The differences regarding to the understanding, classification and description of the work of art from an archival or museological view corresponds directly to the way in which it is preserved and disseminated. Based on this analysis, conservation and dissemination strategies were suggested and discussed with the purpose of promoting the preservation of the artistic ensemble in the department. The study carried out is based on the premise that critical reflexive research in the cultural heritage preservation field constitutes the basis for an improvement in the actions aimed at safeguarding cultural assets.
