Resumen:
The objective of this dissertation is to show digital curation in the organization of the digital collection of the Civilist Campaign from Casa de Rui Barbosa Foundation (FCRB). Using
qualitative and quantitative methods, we worked with bibliographic and documentary research
and with Digital Curation techniques. With regard to bibliographic research, articles from
scientific journals, books and websites that work on the subject of study have been used. In
relation to documentary research, we worked with the documentary collection of the Civilist
Campaign, such as texts, books, images, and other documents. Regarding the Digital Curation
techniques, the cultural and memory collections of the Digital Collection of the Civilist
Campaign were taken into account, verifying the information flow of the collection, which has
a large part of the digitized documentation, but without the organization and structure of its
metadata to be inserted in the Rui Barbosa Repository of Cultural Information (RUBI) of the
FCRB. The procedures mentioned on the Digital Curation Reference Manual, published on the
2019’th DCC (Digital Curation Center) website and “Best Practice Guidelines for Online
Publications”, presented at w3.org/Consortium/mission, has been adopted. The research is put
into practice, through the product, applying the techniques of organization and representation
of electronic information through the work of digital curatorship in collections of memory and
cultural heritage.
