Abstract:
This research intends to analyze the importance of heritage education in/from the
archives, based on the initiative of the Historical and Institutional Archive Service of the
Casa de Rui Barbosa Foundation, with the creation of an educational module on the site
Slavery, abolition and post-abolition, which provides digital online cooperative games to its target audience (young people between the ages of 14 and 18) since November 2015.
Monitoring and evaluation of the gaming module will determine the relevancy or
irrelevance of this type initiative, pointing, if necessary, to the aspect (s) that need
adjustments. In order to carry out the research, we used the numbers of the reports issued by Google Analytics, the management reports of Slavery, Abolition and Post-Abolition
itself, as well as the results obtained from the application of workshops with the target
public. It was also carried out a significant bibliographical survey, which contributed to the theoretical and methodological support of research in development.
