Resumen:
"To distinguish the printing press this article exposes an animated and singular violent dispute performed by the inumerous races existent in the city of Rio de Janeiro, in the year of 1831, 1832 e 1833. Thus, the attributions imposed or assumed of adjectives as ‘colored man’, ‘mulatto’, ‘brown’ and ‘creole’ acquire a signification essentially political, throughout which urban groups claim the recognition of citizens."
