Abstract

The present dissertation will discuss the issue of the encouragement of teachers to develop their own teaching material from archival documents and also the issue of access to these documents in custody institutions, having as a case study the National History Museum - specifically the Historical archive - and Documentation Catolog for the Negro in Brazil, 17th to 20th century, produced by the sector.
